Introducing a new blog devoted to the creator of ‘Frankenstein,’ and the upcoming book and play she inspired

saint-peters-church-892229-oLast year, around the time I was launching this website, I was completing work on my novella, ‘Mary Shelley’s Body,’ in which the ghost of the famous ‘Frankenstein’ author finds herself hanging her own grave, and begins a review of her own life that uncovers secrets even Mary didn’t know she was hiding.

The novella-length story will be hitting bookstores in a few days, as part of the excellent anthology ‘Eternal Frankenstein,’ edited by Ross Lockhart and published by Word Horde Books. The book has already received a stellar review in Publisher’s Weekly, and the general feeling is, it’s going to be a very well-received book.

And that’s just the beginning.

I am at work on a stage adaptation of ‘Mary Shelley’s Body,’ which is scheduled to have it’s first performances in October of 2017 at Main Stage West, in Sebastopol.

To support these efforts, and to give me a place to riff on a lot of the Mary Shelley research I’ve absorbed over the last two years of study and writing, I’ve launched a new blog site, with the same name as the novella and play: MaryShelleysBody.com.
