North Bay Theatre Recognized at 6th Annual TBA Awards

North Bay theatre was well represented at the 6th Annual TBA Awards held Monday night at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco.

The TBA Awards are designed to honor excellence in professionally oriented theatre through a peer-based, Bay Area-wide adjudication process of artists and productions from companies who are members of Theatre Bay Area and pay an awards registration fee. TBA divides their awards into three tiers with the intent to create an equitable system of evaluation for production aspects that can be influenced by levels of professional development and/or available resources.

Marin, Sonoma, and Napa County theatres and artists had 52 nominations for this year’s awards. Rohnert Park’s Spreckels Theatre Company was the North Bay’s big winner with six awards for their production of The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time. Santa Rosa’s Left Edge Theatre received two awards as did the Marin Musical Theatre Company and the Marin Theatre Company. Sonoma Arts Live received one award.
