A new season brings change to Santa Rosa’s Left Edge Theatre

Santa Rosa’s Left Edge Theatre has announced their 2022/2023 season and a change in company leadership and staffing.

Argo Thompson, the company’s founding Artistic Director, is turning over the artistic reins to the team of David L. Yen and Sandra Ish. “Left Edge has a plan for growing the company”, said Thompson. “I have decided to step back from the day-to-day artistic decisions to focus on that growth plan. Sandra Ish has been an artistic associate since our first show seven years ago. David Yen and I have worked together on the perennial popular holiday show The Santaland Diaries for more than a decade. They are both proven artistic forces with which to be reckoned and are familiar with Left Edge’s aesthetic and mission. I am excited to see what will happen as they bring their artistry, craft, and dedication to the artistic direction of our company.”

Serena Elize Flores takes on the position of casting director while Jenny Hollingworth has been named communications director. Michael Mingoia will be the resident set designer and Zane Walters takes on the front-of-house managing responsibilities.

Vicki Martinez continues in her position as the company’s production manager with April George and Joe Winkler continuing as resident lighting and sound designers and Lulu Thompsxn as box office manager. Paige Picard will continue as an artistic associate while Kimberly Kalember steps in as development manager. Anthony Martinez continues as Left Edge’s Education Director.

The new leadership team will be responsible for the upcoming 2022/2023 season which will consist of six productions receiving their Sonoma County premieres. They are:
