At a fundraising event held Friday night at the Sonoma Community Center, the Sonoma Arts Live Theater Company revealed its selections for their 2021/22 season. Their seven-show season opens on September 24 and concludes on July 31, 2022.
All seven shows will be presented on the Rotary Stage in Andrews Hall at the Sonoma Community Center.
Here are the productions scheduled for the Sonoma Arts Live 2021/22 season:

Sunset Blvd – September 24 – October 10 – directed by Carl Jordan – musical direction by Ellen Patterson – Dani Innocenti Beem takes on the Norma Desmond role and Tim Setzer will play her imperious butler Max in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s musical take on Billy Wilder’s classic 1950 Hollywood film.
Winter Wonderettes & Forever Plaid: Plaid Tidings – November 26 – December 19 – directed by Michael Ross – music direction by Sherrill Peterson – Two jukebox musicals that feature a lot of ’50’s and ’60’s takes on Christmas tunes will play in “rep” for the holiday season.
Master Class– February 4 – 20, 2022 – directed by Carl Jordan – Terrence McNally’s Tony Award-winning look at Maria Callas will feature Libby Oberlin as the opera diva.
Saturday Night at Grossingers – April 22 – May 8, 2022 – directed by Jamie Love and Larry Williams – Stephen Cole, the author of Merman’s Apprentice, turns his attention to the one-time great East Coast vacation and entertainment mecca known as the “Borscht Belt” in New York’s Catskill Mountains.
The 39 Steps – June 3 – 19, 2022 – directed by Larry Williams – Alfred Hitchcock takes a ribbing in this parody that requires four performers to reenact the entire 1935 film.
The Drowsy Chaperone – July 15 – 31, 2022 – directed by Michael Ross – This musical parody of 1920’s American musicals won five Tony Awards for its original 2006 production.
