North Bay Theatres React to Public Health Concerns

Numerous North Bay Theatre companies have reached out to their subscribers and potential theatre-goers to address their concerns about attending productions in the wake of the Coronavirus.

Theater companies, many of whom operate with very thin margins, are assuring their audiences that they are taking all the recommended steps to ensure the health and safety of their patrons, employees, and artists. No performances have been cancelled at this time.

All are following guidance provided by the CDC, World Health Organization, and local and state public health authorities to provide a safe environment and are doing the following:

  • Sanitizing the theatres and all surface areas daily
  • Providing hand sanitizer in their lobbies, concession areas, and restrooms
  • Increasing available tissues

They are also encouraging their patrons to take the standard precautions outlined by the World Health Organization, including hand washing, covering coughs and sneezes, and staying home if you are ill.

All continue to evaluate the situation on a daily basis and will react to any directives issues by local, state, and federal authorities.

Patrons who are unable to attend due to illness are encouraged to contact their respective theatre box offices to arrange for ticket exchanges.
