Interview – “Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons” at Left Edge Theatre

My guests on an extended May 23 “Theatre Thursday” segment on The Drive on 95.5 were Argo Thompson and Serena Elize Flores from the Left Edge Theatre production of Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons, Lemons. The show runs at The California in Santa Rosa though June 8.

We also took the opportunity to get an update on how things are working out at The California, the downtown Santa Rosa entertainment venue where Left Edge is a resident theatre company.

  1. Hope that you all have guests from 6th St. Theater’s productions again soon. We saw Native Gardens and just loved it!

  2. At 16:30 or so in the first segment, Argo states that Rosie Frater, who is the other lead in Lemons x 5, “has to be the best actress around Sonoma County right now.” I absolutely agree; I was in pit for the SRJC production of Sweeney Todd, where Rosie played Mrs. Lovett not long after she graduated from Montgomery High School, and her portrayal was a revelation of hilarity; I have also seen her in other roles at Left Edge. I recommend this Left Edge production of “Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons Lemons” on the talent of the actors for certain, knowing nothing else of the show.

  3. Regarding The California in general, I was able to go recently to hear the Volker Strifler Blues Band, and the place was very full, with an enthusiastic crowd. So I recommend The California’s non-theatrical presentations as well.
